CHERRY COFFEE TABLE
This was designed to sit in a small front room in a Victorian terrace house.
It sits alongside some rather beautiful antique furniture, in front of a Victorian drop arm sofa and a Georgian chest of drawers. With this in mind, I kept the design clean and simple allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through.
I decided to make the top in glass, helping the room to feel light and uncluttered. Glass takes on a shade of green during the toughening process, this led me to choose English Cherry as the timber as it also contains some green hues.This also fitted in perfectly with the rooms colour scheme.
